The Art of Loving Lost: Huh?

loveLast week I contacted the journalist who wrote an article titled The Azores: An untamed island paradise only a few hours by air from North America.  In a tiny comments box I typed an even tinier note introducing myself and explaining my interest in learning more about the archipelago known as the Azores.  I included a link to my BLOG offering a point of reference for the conversation.  In an ironic twist of fate, I inadvertently typed the address www.TheArtofLovingLost.com; fortunately it didn’t match a site on the Internet prompting the journalist to ask if I mistyped the web address – I did.  When I looked at the link I realized I typed The Art of LOVING Lost versus The Art of LIVING Lost.  I chuckled and sent her an updated link.

Now you know that I believe nothing is a coincidence; so I noodled over the subliminal message.  Since it was Valentine’s week, I guess I had love on my mind; more specifically I wondered if it was time for me to seriously consider dating?  Ugh.  I love my life.  I love my kids.  I love being in charge.  But was this a sign?  I contemplated the idea of falling in love.  I’d like to say I figured this out on my own – but I didn’t.  It took a friend to simply connect the dots.  “Hon, it’s not the LOVING it’s the LOVING LOST.  You are LOVING being LOST!”

Hallelujah sister, I LOVE being LOST!

The quirky adventures, moments of simple reflection and the time spent with family and friends; that’s my JOY!  In the absence of a sense-full life, I wake up every morning and follow my JOY.  So this week I booked my trip to the Azores and, just to be safe, I accepted a date for next Saturday night.

What’s your JOY?  Think about it and have a SUPER week!
